Have a specific breast concern you would like checked?
Our Brief Breast Check is designed for patients with one specific, focused concern who would like a physician breast examination.
Common reasons to schedule include:
• Newly noticed breast lump or area of concern
• Localized breast tenderness
• Change in breast texture
• Breast asymmetry or a newly noticed change
• Nipple or skin change
• Concern about something noticed during a self-exam
• Recheck of a previously evaluated area
Your $75 Visit Includes:
Focused breast examination by Kareen Saunders, DO.
Dr. Saunders will evaluate the area of concern and determine whether additional evaluation is recommended. If appropriate, she can provide an order for diagnostic breast imaging or recommend additional follow-up.

(Receipts and invoices provided to submit for reimbursement from HSA/FSA and Insurances)
This is a focused visit for a single breast concern and does not replace a comprehensive breast-health evaluation, annual gynecological examination or recommended breast cancer screening.
Comprehensive Breast Health Visit — $175
A More Complete Evaluation of Your Breast Health
For patients with a new or more complex breast concern, multiple symptoms, significant breast-health history, or those who would simply like a more comprehensive evaluation, schedule a Comprehensive Breast Health Visit.
Your Visit May Include:
• Detailed breast-health history
• Review of current breast symptoms or changes
• Review of personal medical history
• Review of relevant family history of breast or ovarian cancer
• Discussion of previous mammograms, ultrasounds, biopsies or other breast imaging
• Review of previous abnormal breast findings when applicable
• Comprehensive clinical breast examination
• Evaluation of breast lumps or areas of thickening
• Evaluation of breast pain or tenderness
• Assessment of nipple changes or discharge
• Evaluation of breast skin changes
• Discussion of breast density when relevant
• Review of age-appropriate breast screening
• Discussion of individual breast cancer risk factors
• Recommendations for appropriate follow-up
• Orders for mammography, breast ultrasound or other breast imaging when medically appropriate
• Specialist referral when clinically indicated

Your Imaging May Be Covered by Your Health Insurance
Although your visit with Dr. Saunders is self-pay, you may use your health insurance benefits for outside mammography, breast ultrasound and other diagnostic imaging, subject to your individual plan's benefits and requirements.
You may take your imaging order to an in-network radiology or breast imaging center of your choice.

Best when you need a more complete breast evaluation or have multiple concerns, a significant personal or family history, previous abnormal imaging, or would like your overall breast health and screening needs reviewed.

Most breast changes are not cancer, but a new lump or other breast change deserves appropriate medical evaluation.

Same-Day Appointments May Be Available
Office visits are self-pay. Imaging, laboratory, pathology and specialist services are separate and are not included in the office visit fee. Insurance coverage varies by individual health plan. New or concerning breast symptoms may require diagnostic imaging, additional testing or referral to a breast specialist. Seek prompt medical attention for rapidly worsening symptoms, significant redness or swelling with fever, or other urgent concerns.
